Samantha Skopek brings over four years of experience to PREMIER with a well-rounded knowledge base of architecture and construction management in the medical office, industrial and commercial markets. Samantha utilizes critical thinking, problem resolution and the development of methods to improve processes and establish program criteria to ensure client satisfaction and the successful completion of projects.
General responsibilities include selecting subcontractors, coordinating and collaborating with architects, engineers and specialists and ensuring each project complies with all building codes and legal or regulatory requirements. Samantha oversees estimating, contract administration, permitting, design, scheduling and permits.
Samantha has overseen extensive management responsibilities in various undertakings that have led to the successful completion of several high-profile projects valued between $3 million and $630+ million in value. Included in her work history is the Public Building Commission of Chicago. As project manager, Samantha oversaw 500+ change orders and drove standardization of entitlement and change management within the program, which involved hundreds of general and specialty contractors and design professionals.
Additional work includes the Pacific Gas and Electric Chromium Program, which involved the cleanup of Chromium 6 in two California groundwater sites; Lurie Children's 680 N. Lakeshore Drive floor renovations, a 25,000 sq ft construction project on the 15th and 16th floors of the facility; Children's Memorial Hospital Campus Decommissioning; Children's Memorial Hospital Clark Deming Renovation, a multi-building and multi-phase renovation; and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, a 23-story facility spanning 1.25 million sq ft, which achieved LEED Gold.
