(Itasca, IL – February 21, 2017) – Industry-leading developer Dayton Street Partners/WBS Equities has chosen the popular Portage Park neighborhood in Chicago for the site of a major speculative distribution facility.
Dayton Street/WBS has hired its trusted partner, PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC to construct the project. The 40,750 sq ft facility is being built on a 1.6-acre site strategically situated near major expressways, train lines and airports in one of the largest markets in the nation—Chicago, Illinois.
The site is located at 4150 North Knox Avenue, just one block from the CTA, Metra Stop and the junction at I-94/90. More than 330,000 vehicles travel this expressway every day. O'Hare International Airport—one of the busiest airports in the world based on the number of takeoffs and landings – is located just a few miles north.
New businesses that will move in to 4150 Knox will be able to pull from a giant work force from the city and its surrounding suburbs. Chicago is located in Cook County, the largest county in Illinois, home to more than 5.2 million residents. There are 135 incorporated municipalities within Cook County, and Chicago accounts for roughly 54% of the county’s total population.
Chicago has long been known for its industrial importance in the country, and has an unparalleled reputation as a city of hard workers
"We’re bringing this 24/7 commitment to 4150 Knox, a facility that will meet the needs of the most demanding and sophisticated tenants today and for many, many years to come."
The warehouse will feature 30 ft clear-height warehouse space, two parking lots and four covered dock positions. The result will be state-of-the-art, adaptable warehouse space that can accommodate up to two tenants. Two main glass storefront entrances with canopies will welcome visitors to 4150 Knox Industrial.
