(Irvine, CA – December 12, 2016) – The city of Fontana, California, at the foot of the picturesque Jurupa mountains, prides itself in its industriousness and is a regional hub of the lucrative logistics industry in Southern California. In short, it is a perfect location for a business that wants to grow.
PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC is meeting that demand by designing and building a 12,000 square foot office for States Logistics, a major warehousing, transportation and packaging logistics services company. The build-out is part of the massive Jurupa Business Park industrial complex that PREMIER recently completed.
States Logistics will be moving into a modern facility housed in a fully operational warehouse that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is fully functional. Highlights from the design build tenant improvements include; construction of a new 6,000 square foot steel mezzanine; 12,000 square feet of fully finished energy efficient office space equipped with restrooms, conference rooms, breakrooms, IDF, Trucker’s Lounge, and two story lobby; upsizing the existing electrical infrastructure to accommodate States Logistics future forecasted demand; installing a new 300 KW backup generator; full warehouse LED high bay lighting; equipping all (55) docks with pits, air bag dock levelers, seals and restraints; fully automating the existing gates; a new monument sign; security upgrades; among other improvements which in unison will truly make this build stand out.
We're excited to have built the perfect facility to support States Logistic’s growing operations
PREMIER Vice President Steven Gabbert says,“We are honored to have had the opportunity to work with States Logistics on this exciting project. We're proud to say that this building—along with all the amazing work we have done to bring the Jurupa Business Park industrial complex to life—is our best effort in the region to date."
The Jurupa Business Park industrial complex is comprised of two large facilities: Bridge Point Fontana I and Bridge Point Fontana II. All together, that accounts for 878,839 square feet of state-of-the-art space. The facilities feature 36-foot-high ceilings, 106 truck dock positions, four drive-in doors, an ESFR fire protection sprinkler system and 4,000 amp, 277/480 volt electrical service. Tenants will also benefit from 462 stalls for trailer-truck parking.
The complex was certainly a draw from States Logistics as well as its location. Fontana, California is strategically located near Interstates 10 and 15 and State Route 210. In addition to the prime location, the company will be able to draw from a large labor pool from this city of more than 200,000 residents and from the neighboring towns of San Bernardino County—the fifth most populous county in California.
Jeramy Mahfet of PREMIER was the project manager overseeing construction and Wayne Nienhuis was the general superintendent. In addition to PREMIER, the design build team included Carlile Coatsworth Architects, HSA, United Electrical, Air Control System, Johnson Plumbing, and General Underground Fire Protection.
