WOOD DALE, IL
Forward Space
Forward Space, a female-owned office furniture provider and authorized Steelcase dealer, underwent a comprehensive interior construction project encompassing both office and warehouse spaces. The climate-controlled warehouse, covering an impressive 78,319 square feet with a 32-foot clear height and 12 dock doors, was a central aspect of the project. The 22,420-square-foot open office area served a dual purpose, functioning as both a workspace and an expansive product showroom. Noteworthy features included extensive millwork facilitating product displays, highlighted by the striking 16-foot-high installation known as ""The Sandbox,"" spanning the building's entire west wall. The space was adorned with high-end finishes, featuring custom lighting fixtures, acoustic ""cloud"" ceilings, demountable wall systems, and exquisite wall coverings and plaster wall finishes. Additionally, amenities like a work café with a barista area, adorned with a double-sided LED fireplace, contributed to the inviting atmosphere. The inclusion of huddle and quiet rooms further complemented the functional and aesthetic elements of the project.
